Suno at a glance
Suno metadata explained
Suno is the most used AI music generator, and the files it hands you are ordinary MP3 or WAV files with ordinary tags, which makes them easy to read and easy to clean.
What ends up in the file
Downloads normally carry ID3 tags with the track title, an artist field pointing at the platform, and often a comment or user defined frame naming the generator and its version. Cover art is embedded as an APIC frame. Suno has also stated that it watermarks its audio, which is a signal in the waveform and not something you can see in the tags.
Removing it
Our audio cleaner removes the ID3v2 header, any trailing ID3v1 or APEv2 tag and the embedded artwork, leaving the encoded audio frames untouched byte for byte. The audio watermark is unaffected: it is part of the sound, not part of the file header.
