ElevenLabs metadata explained

ElevenLabs is used for synthetic speech rather than music, and its output turns up in podcasts, voiceovers and video soundtracks where the metadata often survives longer than anyone expects.

What ends up in the file

Exported audio can carry ID3 tags naming the generating service, and files that pass through an editing suite pick up further tags identifying the software and sometimes the project. ElevenLabs has described watermarking and classifier based detection for its generated speech, which again is a property of the audio itself rather than of the tags.

Removing it

Removing the ID3 or Vorbis tags is instant and lossless with our audio cleaner. Detection of synthetic speech does not rely on those tags, so treat this as removing project and account details rather than as hiding the origin of the audio.
