Bulk Image Compressor
Compress hundreds of images in one go, including whole folders with subfolders. You get everything back in the same folder structure, and not a single file is uploaded.
Drop images, folders or a ZIP file here
JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, AVIF, HEIC and TIFF. Subfolders are kept.
Compressed in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.
80% is a good balance for photos. Lower means smaller files.
Same as original keeps every file name, so the folder can go straight back to where it came from.
Smaller images are never enlarged.

Whole folders at once
Drop a folder with subfolders and get the exact same structure back, as one ZIP or straight into a folder.
Nothing is uploaded
Every image is compressed on your own device, so even thousands of private photos never leave your computer.
Fast, in parallel
Several processor cores work at the same time, so large batches finish in minutes instead of hours.
Never larger than before
Files that are already optimized are kept as they are, and animated GIFs stay animated.
Compress hundreds of images at once, folders included
Optimizing images one by one is fine for a single photo, but not for the upload folder of a website, a complete photo shoot or a product catalog. The Bulk Image Compressor processes the whole set in one go and keeps your folder structure intact, so the result can go straight back to where it came from.
What does the bulk image compressor do?
It re-encodes every JPG, PNG and WebP image at the quality you choose, scales down oversized photos if you want, and converts formats such as HEIC, TIFF, BMP and AVIF along the way. Files keep their names and their place in the folder tree, so links on your website or in your documents keep working.
How to compress a folder of images
- 1 Drop a folder, a selection of images or a ZIP file onto the tool, or use the Select folder button.
- 2 Choose the quality, the output format and, if needed, a maximum size for the longest side.
- 3 Click Compress images and follow the progress per file.
- 4 Download everything as one ZIP with the same folder structure, or save it straight into a folder on your computer.
Why compress images in bulk?
- Faster websites: smaller images load quicker and improve Core Web Vitals such as LCP.
- Less storage and bandwidth: photo archives and backups often shrink by more than half.
- Easier sharing: compressed photo sets fit within email, chat and upload limits.
- Consistent results: every image in the batch gets the same quality and size settings.
Private by design
The images are processed by your browser, with the same technology it uses to display them. There is no upload, no server queue and no account, so there is also no waiting for a large upload to finish.
Your files stay on your own computer
This tool never uploads anything. Here is what that actually means for you.
Nothing is sent to us
What you put in here does not travel over the internet. It stays on the device you are using right now.
Nothing is stored
There is no copy on a server and no database with your content in it, because it never reaches us in the first place.
Nobody can read it
Not our team, not other visitors, not any other company. There is nothing to read, because nothing arrives.
It is never used to train AI
Your content is not fed into any AI model and not passed on to an AI provider.
It disappears when you close the tab
Nothing is left behind. Reload the page and the tool simply starts empty again.
Do not take our word for it
Open this page, then switch off your wifi or unplug the network cable. The tool keeps working perfectly. That is only possible because all the work happens on your own computer, not on ours.
That makes this safe for files you would never send by email: client work, contracts, scanned documents, private photos and internal company information.
