Leonardo.Ai metadata explained

Leonardo.Ai sits between the hobby tools and the studio platforms, and its metadata behaviour reflects that: consistent for direct downloads, unpredictable for anything else.

What ends up in the file

A direct download normally contains an XMP block identifying the platform, and on some plans a C2PA manifest. Generation settings are kept in your account rather than in the file, so unlike Stable Diffusion your prompt is not usually sitting inside the image, though the filename may still hint at it.

Removing it

Our image cleaner removes the XMP block, any manifest and the EXIF tags in a single pass. Because Leonardo output is often used commercially, stripping metadata before delivery is a sensible default.

Clean a Leonardo.Ai file

Remove every metadata block without re-encoding. Runs in your browser, nothing is uploaded.
